ermod, the leading manufacturer of hinged and sliding door furniture, have made further improvements to their quality range of shelving systems under the Fermostock brand. To ensure the maximum use of available space, either in cold room or dry storage, Fer- mostock is available in three depths: 360mm Gastronorm, 460mm or 560mm Gastronorm, and 10 widths for 660mm up to 1500mm. Shelf spacing in increments of 150mm is achieved by insertion of shelf clips – no tools are required for simple, quick assembly. The 6611 range has polymer shelf inserts and the 6811 range has aluminium slats that can be reversed to safely store bottles. Solid shelf inserts are available for dry storage of small items where airflow is not essential. Angle pieces on the internal part of the corners allow total use of availa- ble shelf space without the interruption of a corner post. For a more economical solution, the Fer-

mostock 5611 range offers similar qualities with a slightly reduced load-bearing capacity. Compensation for uneven floors is easily achieved with the adjustable feet. The shelf inserts can be removed without disman- tling the units and may be thoroughly cleaned and decontaminated in a commer- cial dishwasher. All Fermostock shelving systems conform to every hygiene regulation in Europe and the US. The system is mobile with lockable stainless steel castors to assist with clean- ing and sterilising the walls behind the unit and for transporting produce over short distances. Floor-mounting supports and wall-fixing brackets are available. Another recently introduced innovation are product labels to display dates or identify products to assist with stock con- trol systems, especially in restaurants where hygiene requirements mean the need to ensure the timely utilisation of perishable foods.
