culture & brand A

rbella’s culture and brand go hand in hand: we’re a local company that cares about people, values,

and relationships. We align ourselves with meaningful organizations, and our integrated marketing campaigns spread the message of putting people first.

We introduced our Spread the Good initiative, which is an extension of our culture, inspiring people to look for opportunities to do good for others and pass it on. Whether it’s treating a stranger to coffee, holding a door, or inviting someone to merge ahead of us into traffic, a small moment can have a big impact. Creating a special hashtag, we encouraged people to share their own stories of kindness and compassion on social media with #SpreadtheGood.

To support the #SpreadtheGood theme, we deepened our relationship with our long standing partner, the Special Olympics of Massachusetts (SOMA). We introduced our special Olympian athlete partner, Jeremy Smith, to our employees at our annual summer barbeque to promote SOMA athletes and this wonderful organization. As SOMA approaches its 50th anniversary in 2018, we’ll continue to stand beside them and the important work they do.

We’re proud to be the Official Auto Insurance Sponsor of the Boston Celtics—in addition to being a marquee professional sports team, they’re second to none when it comes to giving back. Trough our Home Court Makeover program, we visited local neighborhoods with rookie sensation Jayson Tatum to present three renovated, Celtics-themed driveway courts to contest winners. Te Junior Broadcaster contest was another huge hit, attracting hundreds of entries. Winners were featured on air and enjoyed VIP access to a game.

Perhaps one of the best indicators of our strong culture is that in 2017 nearly 55% of all hires were referred by our current employees. Tis speaks volumes of the culture of engagement and relationships that we have built together. Arbella is continuously evolving, but our core values will never change.

“Special Olympics has given me the opportunity to try new things. I’m stronger, healthier, and have gained a lot of self-confidence. Please consider making a donation to the Special Olympics to support athletes like me!”

– Jeremy Smith, Special Olympic Athlete, Stoughton MA
