foundation T
he Arbella Insurance Foundation donated $2.5 million in support of more than 600 charitable organizations
in 2017. Since 2005, the Foundation has given over $25 million to those in need.
Te Foundation’s giving achievements wouldn’t be possible without the partnership and generosity of Arbella Insurance Group’s independent agents and employees. Last year, the Foundation partnered with Arbella agents to donate $665,000 to local causes important to them. Te Foundation and Arbella employees together donated more than $200,000 through employee giving programs.
Te Foundation continued its efforts toward ending local hunger and last year achieved several important milestones. Celebrating its 10-year anniversary partnering with Arbella independent agents, the Let’s Drive Out Hunger campaign surpassed $1 million donated to local kitchens and food pantries. Te Foundation and Arbella employees also participated in our 10th annual Project Bread’s Walk for Hunger, raising $1 million since 2008.
Sometimes, corporate citizenship means looking beyond our local community and helping those who need it most. After the devastating hurricanes last fall that affected Texas and Puerto Rico, people were looking for a way to help. Te Foundation responded and, together with Arbella agents and employees, donated more than $70,000 to the American Red Cross.
In 2018 and beyond, the Foundation will continue to work with its long-standing partners such as the New England Center and Home for Veterans, the Irish International Immigrant Center, and others to respond to the evolving needs of those in our community.
