LES REED FA TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

The role of the technical director is one that has grown in prominence and in number across the English game over recent years and is recognised by a number of different titles. The FA Level 5 for Technical Directors course is our contribution to the growth of this role in English football and our aim is to equip every learner who joins it with skills and knowledge that will make them more effective and, ultimately, more successful in the role.

Technical directors face numerous challenges and in an ever-changing landscape having the skills to develop and implement a vision, philosophy and strategy to drive high-performance are vital to achieve long-term sustained success.

This programme has been developed in collaboration with experienced practitioners in the role and with input from some of the industries top leaders. They have helped by sharing experiences that underpin the principles that are needed to survive and thrive in an elite football environment.

LUCY PEARSON HEAD OF EDUCATION

The FA Level 5 for Technical Directors is a course designed for high-level leaders within football. The learning programme is wrapped around the individual needs and the skills required to be successful in the role of technical director.

We have planned a course that pulls world-leading experts from the world of sport, business and education to support their knowledge with the cohort, combining this with individual share from mentors and using problem-based learning principles. The course will link theoretical concepts to the real world with individuals practicing and reflecting on the skills they have developed.
