Jouer à When we talk about sports we use the verb jouer with the preposition à.


The preposition à changes depending on the gender (masculine/feminine) and number (singlular/plural) of the sport. We use:


à la for feminine sports = Je joue à la pétanque au for masculine sports = Je joue au tennis aux for plural sports = Je joue aux boules
