FUCHS LUBRICANTS (UK) PLC the world's largest independent lubricant manufacturer, is proud to introduce the NEW CASSIDA Grease System

Never under-estimate the importance of the right lubricating grease! Greases are an integral part of achieving optimum performance. FUCHS CASSIDA greases cover a wide variety of applications and specifications to ensure that things run smoothly. This new grease system is available throughout the full CASSIDA grease portfolio.

100% efficient. The FUCHS CASSIDA Grease System is designed for long and reliable service. There are no moving parts or outer casing that can be damaged and it has been approved by German TUV.

Works using a special vacuum principle. This ensures that each cartridge is emptied completely, regardless of whether it is removed from the gun on numerous occasions.

Utilises unique screw fit cartridges. Cartridges can be removed, resealed and exchanged simply, efficiently and cleanly to reduce grease wastage.

Makes maintenance simple. It produces 5800psi/400 bar of pressure for improved and easier lubrication of long grease lines.

Uses a patented, dual handle design. The system's solid, simple design makes application easier for the operator and requires less manual force to pump the grease than traditional guns.

Offers a complete, cost effective grease system. There is no need for multiple guns and a flexible hose is provided.

Has improved health and safety benefits. The cartridge is in full view, ensuring that the type of grease, recommended applications and safety data are always visible.

An easy to use, dual handled grease gun for food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries.

Is available with 500gm cartridges. The large cartridges are especially suitable for areas that require a greater volume of grease.

Base Oil Report

After several weeks of decline, the Group I base oils market turned during August. Increases were registered across all export markets, while stability was achieved in the domestic sector. A collection of factors supported the firmer market footing including better demand, lower availability and price rises upstream in the crude oil and vacuum gasoil (VGO) markets.

Many refineries started demanding higher export prices to improve margins, which had been squeezed. Certain suppliers had more comfortable inventory levels after recent spot sales, so were under less pressure to close business.

The domestic Group I market is currently holding steady but also looks set to rise for similar reasons. Moreover, a series of

Colour coded cartridges for ease of identification, specifically designed for use with the new CASSIDA grease gun.

CASSIDA GREASE EPS Series Outstanding protection against wear and rust. Multi-purpose grease suitable for bearings under extreme conditions and/or high street.

CASSIDA GREASE HDS Series Protection for heavily loaded or slow moving bearings with excellent water resistance.

CASSIDA GREASE GTS 2 Outstanding protection against wear and rust. Multi-purpose grease suitable for bearings under extreme conditions and/or high speed.

CASSIDA GREASE GTX 2 Protection for heavily loaded or slow moving bearings with excellent water resistance.

CASSIDA GREASE LTS 1 Operating tempretures down to -50˚C

maintenance turnarounds are planned in northwest Europe during autumn, which will impact the supply-demand balance. Group I domestic prices did not fall as sharply as the export prices and so have less ground to make up.

Going forward, the narrow spread between base oil prices and feedstock costs, especially Group I exports versus VGO, remains a concern for suppliers and further increases will be targeted as they seek to improve margins. Producers talk about extremely poor margins and some have not ruled out cutting back base oil production rates for economic reasons, unless prices rise or feedstock costs drop sharply.

However, the development of demand over the short term is likely to be the determining factor as to whether the current upward pricing trend is

maintained or even accelerated. West Africa has been buying Baltic Sea and European cargoes, but other key

markets, such as those in Asia, will also need to start demanding cargoes for prices to remain firm.

Stiff competition among sellers remains the defining feature of the Group III market, contributing to a continued downward price trend. With more supply entering the region, sellers are competing assertively for market share.
