Stay on top of regulatory updates with

chemtrac®

Product Stewardship is now an integral part of most businesses. It can cover a wide variety of aspects, ranging from providing information to stakeholders and customers about the safety and environmental impact of your products to eliminating and substituting any potentially hazardous substances not only in your products, but in your whole supply chain. However, frequently changing chemicals regulations and its obligations make it difficult and time consuming to manage Product Stewardship activities and to ensure compliance. If you manufacture, import or supply chemicals and articles, or if you use chemicals, your organisation needs to identify, track

and assess environmental regulations regarding chemicals across the globe.

One of the key factors for successful chemicals management is to have effective and robust systems in place to monitor change and trigger related actions for compliance. For example, in April 2016, there have been over 580 regulatory updates within chemtrac®

,

such as updates to Harmonised Classification and Labelling, REACH, BPR or US California Proposition 65. chemtrac® is a chemicals management solution developed by The REACH Centre to ensure compliance with global regulations. Solutions such as chemtrac® also support companies in their horizon

scanning process, using NGO and sector specific lists, looking out for possible future regulation, whilst facilitating close internal exchange between the departments of regulatory affairs and product management. Its chemtrac® Alerts provide organisations support in keeping track of relevant regulatory updates and to ensure compliance by saving time when checking specific substances against these changes.
