FOCUS | The kbbreview100 initiative Introducing the

DARREN TAYLOR Managing director, Searle and Taylor, Winchester

DEREK MILLER Director, Scope Bathrooms, Glasgow

initiative

We are looking for 100 retailers to join us for a unique collaboration that will shape and influence debate across the industry

W

ithout doubt, the corona- virus has changed our personal

and business

lives almost beyond recognition and we will likely feel the effects of the impact for years to come. While there’s not much clarity on the situation – as it continues to change on a daily basis – one thing that is abundantly clear is that there has never been a more important time for solidarity and community spirit within the KBB industry. Life as an independent retailer can be lonely at the best of times but, as recent events prove, understanding what other people are experiencing and how they’re coping with the same situation can really help set things straight. So

we’ve decided to launch an

exciting initiative – the kbbreview100 – to help build a stronger indepe- ndent KBB retail community and strengthen our support for retailers We are looking for 100 passionate and enthusiastic KBB retailers who can spare some time each month to actively get involved with kbbreview on a variety of levels in order for us to be able to continue to create interesting and relevant content and act as the voice of indepe- ndent KBB retailers. It’s probably important to emphasise

here that the kbbreview100 is not a ranking system, it is simply a pool of 100 retailers – from all over the UK and from all disciplines – that we know are keen to contribute to features and stories. So, what exactly do we mean when we

say ‘get involved’?

For over 35 years, our aim has been to bring you comment and opinion from as many retailers – and other industry experts – as possible each month. What the kbbreview100 list will give us is direct access to 100 willing and able retailers that we can call upon for comment to enable us to get a snapshot of the way independents are feeling about a particular topic. This could mean as little as

answering a short survey, editor Andrew giving

comments on a number of issues for us to feature in the magazine to joining managing

Davies on

The kbbreview Podcast. If that’s not enough to convince you to get involved, let’s introduce you to some of the retailers that have already joined us.

All you need to do is register online using the link below. Once you’ve completed the form, please attach a high-resolution, head-and-shoulders photo of yourself.
