A family of four in Wimbledon Village sought a functional yet stunning kitchen. Pocket doors conceal appliances, and a hidden door leads to a back kitchen.

The clients, a professional couple with three young children, spent two years renovating their 1870 Victorian home in Teddington, Surrey. The homeowner is a talented interior designer, who also runs the property as a fi lm and TV location. For the kitchen, she wanted a modern Shaker design with high ceilings, fl oor-to- ceiling cabinetry, and an elegant aesthetic that blended with the period features.


The clients wanted a functional yet non-traditional kitchen inspired by Scandinavian design featuring fl uted oak and brown-toned stone countertops and hidden appliances.
