Special Achievement Award Sponsored by
Winner The Windsor Declaration
As always with this special annual award we’re keen to acknowledge not just individuals whose personal contribution has been signifi cant - but also initiatives and ideas that genuinely move the industry forward. And 2025 is such a year. Now when we tell you it’s all about ‘sustainability’ you can
probably hear the rolling of many pairs of eyes - and that’s because any discussion around that subject still has a long way to go as a viable one in this industry. So any initiative that moves that agenda along must be applauded and rewarded - especially if it involves genuine bipartisan cooperation for the greater good. Back in the Autumn, the Bathroom Manufacturers Association (BMA) lead a project that ultimately joined up with US trade bodies the NKBA and PMI to rally some of the biggest bathroom manufacturers in the global market. Together they gathered in an wood-panelled room in Windsor and signed an agreement. The likes of Kohler, Fortune Brands Innovations, Hansgrohe
SE, GWA Group, Norcros UK & Ireland, Kohler Mira, Roca Group, Thomas Dudley, Bristan, Ideal Standard/Villeroy & Boch, Sato and
LIXIL and Lecico all put their names on this historic document. This agreement commits them all to advancing water-
effi cient and hygenic products, clear labelling for homeowners and lobbying governments around the world for support to save water. When it was signed in November it was hugely signifi cant, but it has become even more essential since Donald Trump has rolled back water effi ciency legislation because he can’t get his beautiful, beautiful hair wet enough. Tom Reynolds, chief executive of the BMA, commented: “The Windsor Declaration represents a united front within our industry to tackle the critical issues of water scarcity and sanitation. “We believe that by pooling our resources, knowledge, and
infl uence, we can inspire real change and support the global transition to more sustainable water management practices. Our industry has the potential to be a driver of positive environmental impact, and we are committed to that cause.”
