Show Special kbb Birmingham 2018

Welcome

Rebecca Nottingham

I

Welcome

’m extremely proud to welcome you to this special kbb Birmingham show issue of kbbreview. Refl ecting the theme of the kbbreview Retail and Design Conference, which is taking place on every day of the exhibition (see pages 8-9 for the full programme), this year’s exclusive show edition of kbbreview focuses on the simple, yet extremely valuable, topic of ‘How to…’ As any good entrepreneur will tell you, one of the fi rst steps to building a thriving business is admitting that you don’t know everything. And, just because you’ve always done something the same way, doesn’t mean it’s the only way to do it. Don’t be afraid of change. By opening your mind up to new ideas and new ways of doing things, you can help your business fl ourish. To bring you this comprehensive guide to successful retailing, we’ve called on experts from across the KBB industry, and beyond, to share their points of view, practical tips and advice on some of the biggest issues affecting retailers today.

All of the content is designed to help, inspire and encourage you to look at your business in a different way by providing the information you need to consider and, most importantly, how you go about putting those ideas into action. So, think of this as the Haynes manual or, for the more internet-savvy among you, the ‘Wiki How’ of kitchen, bedroom and bathroom retailing.

I hope you enjoy the read and, as always, we’d love to hear your thoughts on any of the topics and points raised in this issue, so please feel free to get in touch.

And don’t forget to pop along to the kbbreview Retail and Design Conference, where you’ll be able to gain further insight and hear from some of our featured experts in person. I look forward to seeing you all there.
