highlighted its Inlet Barrier Filter’s abili­ ty to protect military and civil helicop­ ter power plants from catastrophic fail­ ure and other hazards during its first­ ever display of this system at the International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX). The debut of the Inlet Barrier Filter


(IBF) at IDEX 2013 comes as Donaldson Aerospace & Defense, a division of Donaldson Company, Inc., marks a mile­ stone for the system. It has delivered the 500th IBF for the U.S. Army’s work­ horse H­60 BLACK HAWK helicopters. Donaldson’s display at IDEX 2013 with Continental Aviation Services, included IBFs installed on an H­60 and a Bell Helicopter 407. “The Middle East’s routine high tem­

AgustaWestland at Aero India 2013 AgustaWestland recently showcased


its range of modern high performance military and commercial helicopters at Aero India 2013, which was held at Air Force Station Yelahanka, Bengaluru, from 6 ­ 10 February. Helicopters pro­ moted at Aero India included the AW101, 12 of which are now in the process of delivery to the Indian Air Force for government transport duties. Other helicopters to be featured includ­ ed the AW109LUH light twin­engine mil­ itary helicopter, the best selling AW139 12­15 passenger medium­twin engine helicopter and the naval variant of the NH90 helicopter.
