Dynali Announces New Engine for H3 Ultralight


The Dynali Helicopter Company, whose H3 Easyflyer is becoming increasingly popular in countries where ultralight helicopters are authorized, has introduced a new higher-powered engine configuration with the latest model ECU from Motec, especially configured for helicopters by a team from MoTeC and Dynali.


The H3 prototype first flew in 2012 and to date Dynali has delivered 81 of these machines to customers spanning the globe. The company recently extended its manufacturing facilities in Belgium to enable production to be increased to four or five units per month.


Building on its experience in designing the injection system on the 110 HP H3, Dynali is now offering a more powerful version that makes full use of the multi-function capacity of the latest MoTeC M150 ECU.


Aero Dynamix Celebrates 25 Years in Business


Aero Dynamix Inc. (ADI) recently announced its celebration of 25 years in business as


one of the world’s industry experts in night-vision-compatible lighting solutions and modifications. “Every year since 1994, Aero Dynamix has continued to grow and expand our capabilities and expertise in becoming the leader and innovator for integrated NVIS and Non-NVIS lighting solutions that we are today,” a company news release stated.


ADI’s expertise is validated by the company’s solid portfolio of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approvals for its full vision illumination systems for both rotary and fixed-wing aircraft. Aero Dynamix now holds more than 35 multi-ship NVIS supplemental type certificates (STCs) covering more than 40 different aircraft model types. This is in addition to numerous European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and other foreign STC validations that make ADI a leader in NVIS design, certification, and post- installation services.

The new ECU, as adapted by Dynali, offers a wide range of features including electronically controlled clutch, integrated governor, ignition and idle management, and full sequential ignition for optimal precision and fuel economy. The mapping of the ECU has been designed by Dynali and MoTeC specialists exclusively for use in helicopters. It provides for visual and audio alarms, integrated GPS and an optimized power curve.


Features include a dual fully redundant 250W and 500W electrical circuit and sensors and a PDM to ensure protection of components in fail-safe mode.


To coincide with this, Dynali announced the launch of its new version of the Rotax 912 engine block with enlarged cylinders, which delivers 125hp. While the 110hp of the current model is more than adequate for flight conditions within the MTOW of 500 kg, a little extra power can always come in useful and it makes the new model an exceptionally forgiving machine.


Currently, ADI has certified more than 2,000 NVIS cockpits worldwide, all handled and supported through the company’s corporate structure with headquarters and manufacturing facilities located in Euless, Texas, and supporting networks around the world.


Today, ADI supplies NVIS modifications for numerous OEM manufacturers. Garmin, Honeywell, and most other major avionics companies utilize and authorize their services. ADI is so well respected by these manufacturers that they continue to support their original warranties on this equipment after ADI has modified them. When have you ever heard of an OEM that does not void a warranty on its equipment once it has been opened up and altered by an aftermarket shop? The consistently high quality of ADI’s NVIS lighting modifications makes OEM acceptance possible.
