trains go by – it makes the home feel less an isolated place and more part of a wider world and community.
Supercharging activities As one might expect from a provider of Boutique’s calibre, Keymer Hall offers residents a raft of meaningful activities, as part of its Life Enrichment Programme. However, in addition, the team has decided to pilot More Days – an AI and data-driven activity planning platform, which Boutique hopes will transform resident engagement. “What really interests us is how it uses
data and insights to supercharge what we’re already doing,” director of sales & marketing Carl Roberts explains. “Yes, it provides ready-to-use activities with instructions and variations for different ability levels, and it handles scheduling and attendance tracking, but the real value is in the intelligence it generates. “[The platform] quantifies resident
engagement and monitors it over time, spotting trends in how people respond to different types of programming. Its integrated AI helps build a clearer picture of what’s resonating with each resident, which means we can be much more proactive about things
work and more time doing what they know will work.” And indeed, should the results at Keymer
Hall prove fruitful, Boutique will consider rolling the platform out to the rest of the group.
A community asset While providing outstanding care (or, to quote the group’s ethos –Care so good, it’s unexpected) is, of course, at the core of what Boutique is setting out to do at Keymer Hall, the team are very keen to emphasise that, in order to truly succeed, Keymer Hall needs to become more than ‘just’ a care home – it needs to become a valued community hub, too. From the very beginning of the project,
like social isolation, identifying residents who are withdrawing early and adjusting our approach before it becomes a problem. “We’re piloting it at Keymer Hall because
we think data-driven insights could help our team deliver even more personalised, impactful engagement. If it works, [staff will] spend less time guessing what might
then, Boutique reached out to local residents and invited feedback on the proposed home. From there, Keymer Hall has continued to engage with the local community, through such initiatives as the Burgess Hill Town FC sponsorship, by establishing links with local schools, and by sourcing fresh produce from local suppliers. The team tell me that, in return, the local community has been very welcoming. Everything is in place, then, for Keymer
Hall to become one of Boutique’s most successful homes yet.n
