Northgate Healthcare buys Staffordshire home
Ashcroft Hollow care home – located in the Staffordshire village of Cannock – has been purchased by Northgate Healthcare. The ‘Good’ rated home is registered for up to 45 residents. Owned by Ramesh Dalton and Ravi Selliah since 2013, it was brought to market to allow the pair to concentrate on their homes in other regions. Following a sales process with Paul Reilly at Christie & Co, it has been sold to a new regional operator Northgate Healthcare, which owns four homes across the West Midlands. Ravi Selliah, company director at Ashcroft
Hollow, said: “We are pleased to have sold Ashcroft Hollow to Northgate Healthcare. The new providers are well-placed to improve upon the good work that we have done over the last 11 years. We are confident that Ashcroft Hollow will continue to benefit the service users, staff and other stakeholders within the
locality.” Ashley Haines, director at Northgate Healthcare, commented: “With the purchase of Ashcroft Hollow now complete, this adds another nursing home to Northgate Healthcare’s Portfolio. Modernising the home with a refurbishment programme is underway; our future thoughts are on a lapsed planning extension which, when granted, will increase the size of the nursing home to 57 single en suite bedrooms.” Paul Reilly, director – care at Christie & Co,
added: “Ashcroft Hollow was sold following a confidential process with me speaking to Northgate Healthcare as quality regional operators wanting to expand its portfolio in the region. The sale was completed following an off-market process which shows that we, at Christie & Co, have qualified buyers looking to purchase good-quality care homes.”
