Conclusion Although artwork may not always be the first thing that residents and their
families notice it can certainly make a big impact on the overall ambience and atmosphere of the home. When done right, the artwork should
make the residents feel completely at home putting them at their ease and enabling them to live happy, contented and comfortable lives.
Richard Lewis is the managing director and owner of Portobello Art, which he bought over 30 years ago when it was and art and framing company originally known as Crystoleum Studios. Richard has a degree in mechanical engineering and ran the production side of various manufacturing companies before deciding to run his own business, with his wife Carolyn, in 1987 having had enough of ‘internal politics’ within large blue chip companies! He has built it up during that time to become one of the most successful artwork consultancy companies in the UK.
