to receive outstanding accredited education and have an opportunity to see the extent of products and services available to them. The theatre environment highlights the ergonomics and flow that the company’s technology creates within the theatre environment. The facility also highlights Getinge’s digital platforms which integrate with theatres, ICU and CSSD environments to help drive efficiency and productivity within the NHS, HSE and Private Hospital Groups.

Education At the heart of Getinge’s commitment to supporting hospitals and healthcare professionals is a focus on Training and Education. The company is committed to maximising sustainability in every aspect of its business, while helping the NHS achieve its Net Zero targets. As part of this commitment, Getinge is adapting to the changing climate with regards to training & education. Getinge offers a comprehensive online platform open to all healthcare professionals (HCPs). The customer experience centre allows the company to offer a full range of in-house study days. Currently, a number of these are accredited by the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) and the Society of Clinical Perfusion Scientists (SCPS). However, the longer-term ambition is for all study days to offer CPD points to the HCP community. Employee training is managed by the global Getinge Academy and is also comprehensive, due to the vast portfolio of the products Getinge provides. Technology allows Getinge to facilitate globally connecting experts to share knowledge and best practice. “The thirst for training and education is

increasing alongside technological advances in our product portfolio. We can provide continuous education through our on-demand platforms,” Rothwell explains. “In addition, we support continuous education through the Getinge educational institute a platform focusing on continuous education of HCPs. “In 2025, we will launch our first training and education year planner, enabling HCPs to plan ongoing education when it’s convenient for them throughout the year. We will also be offering many global webinars throughout the year. In

this way, we are striving to be the partner of choice in business and education.”

Service offering Getinge also provides a full suite of services designed to optimise hospital operations, including: l Technical Services l Digital Solutions l Flexible Commercial Solutions l Planning & Design l Project Implementation l Hospital Transformation Partnerships

With a dedicated services team, Getinge ensures hospitals can streamline their operations efficiently and effectively. Whether it’s maximising the performance of medical equipment or assisting in the planning and development of entire departments, Getinge brings both the expertise and resources necessary to support every step of the way. This comprehensive approach is designed to enhance patient care, improve hospital efficiency, and foster long-term success.

Advancing technology Innovation in digital technologies is key to helping to support this approach. For example, FleetView, was launched earlier this year – a web application that represents the next step in data-driven device lifecyle management. The solution offers healthcare providers a tool to navigate large amounts of service data and statistical insights, helping to enhance service reliability and uptime. Accessed from any web-enabled computer, tablet, or smartphone, FleetView’s user-friendly interface provides service data, remote troubleshooting with expert support, and the scheduling of the requested maintenance. This helps ensure that life-saving equipment is ready

for action when needed, across all hospital areas – from sterile reprocessing and the operating room to intensive care, as well as in life science. The opportunity to connect devices to

FleetView helps healthcare providers make sure that devices are always ready to perform when needed. It paves the way for streamlined services, device uptime, less stress, and reduced costs.

Innovating for the future Getinge continues to develop new products and solutions that aim to improve clinical results and optimise workflows, and the state-of-the- art facility in the UK will look to the future by working closely with the healthcare and life science sector to meet their evolving challenges and needs. “The breadth of the Getinge portfolio – spanning Life Science, ICU, Theatres, CSSD and Cardiovascular – brings a unique opportunity for customers to partner with us. We are constantly innovating, not only in terms of the pipeline of products coming to market but in terms of how we partner and collaborate with our customers to bring technology and solutions to market,” Rothwell concludes. “Ultimately, our focus is consistently on value and building a sustainable future for our customers. Our Derby HQ and investment in education is testament to that, and I look forward to inviting more customers to share the experience with us in the future.”
