public and private healthcare providers, as well as those employed in private sector engineering and consultancy firms and practices. Many members come from a non-engineering

MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES Fellow Fellows of the Institute are typically senior professionals in the sector, whether an engineer or not, and who warrant this highest designation.
Those in membership at this grade are entitled to use the designatory letters FIHEEM. To be elected as a Fellow you must meet the
following requirements: lHold a first degree, and/or be already registered with the Engineering Council as a Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer, and/or hold an equivalent membership with another relevant Professional Body, and have at least 5 years’ relevant healthcare experience and demonstrate appropriate competencies, which will be established from your job description and CV.
OR lHave 10 years of healthcare experience in senior management, and demonstrate appropriate competencies, which will be established from your job description and CV.
Member Members of the Institute are typically managers, senior specialists, and experienced professionals within the sector, whether an engineer or not. Those in membership at this grade are entitled to use the designatory letters MIHEEM. To be elected as a Member you must meet
