INSTITUTE NEWS

IHEEM to co-host NHSE/NHSI forum webinar next month

As part of its Digital Programme 2021, IHEEM, in collaboration with the national NHS Estates team, will be presenting the ‘NHS England & NHS Improvement Estates Forum’ webinar on 16 March. IHEEM’s Marketing & Events Manager, Melissa Glass, said: “Running from 9.30 am to 4.00 pm, the forum will consist of a number of live sessions and presentations. Speakers will include Simon Corben, Director and Head of Profession, NHSE/NHSE, as well as other senior representatives from NHS England and NHS Improvement. A Minister from the Department of Health & Social Care may also be able to join the important event.” IHEEM will be seeking CPD accreditation where appropriate, and while details are currently under development, it is expected that the live sessions will cover topics such as: n Key priorities of the Strategic Infrastructure Board.

n Expectations from the Estates profession.

n Operational estates, including ‘lessons learned from COVID-19’. n Net Zero Carbon.

Simon Corben.

n The New Hospital Programme. n Delivering LTP through Primary Care. n ‘Next generation’ estates strategies. n Workforce.

IHEEM Chief Executive, Pete Sellars, said; “I am delighted that we are able to host this event jointly with the national NHS Estates team as part of our ‘Stay Connected, Keep Informed, Get Ahead’ Digital Programme for 2021. It is clear from the list of topics set to be discussed that there are many important issues to highlight and inform the healthcare EFM community about. This event is a fantastic opportunity for members to

hear first-hand what programmes and areas are a priority at a national level, and what strategies relevant to our profession are currently being developed, or are about

to be launched, by NHS England and NHS Improvement. I would encourage all of our personnel and affiliate members to register and attend as many of the sessions as they can, and to take full advantage of the opportunity to record CPD where offered.”

Further details and information on how to register for this event will be posted onto the IHEEM website: www.iheem.org.uk
