Wales Regional Branch visit ARUP, Cardiff
ARUP, a global engineering consultancy with extensive technical and advisory expertise, welcomed IHEEM’s Wales Branch to its Cardiff offices in February.
IHEEM Wales Branch visited the regional offices of ARUP in February for a technical presentation and to hold a Branch meeting at their impressive facility. The session provided members with valuable insight into the breadth of ARUP’s work in the healthcare sector, both within South Wales and across the wider UK.
The technical presentations showcased several examples of how ARUP is supporting major healthcare projects. Of relevance to the local region were updates on the Grange University Hospital development,

as well as ARUP’s involvement in the solar farm and lighting infrastructure schemes for NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership at the IP5 site in Newport. These case studies highlighted the innovative approaches ARUP is applying to healthcare design, sustainability, and infrastructure resilience.
This was the Branch’s first visit to ARUP in many years, and
