SHOW PREVIEW | FAKUMA

are moisture-resistant and equipped with ad- vanced ultra-cold performing motors. The gear- boxes improve durability, reliability and efficiency, while direct-drive cutter motors raise performance. The Aero2 Ultra offers a new exterior panel

featuring a microSD card reader port and Ethernet port, providing reliable connectivity. The new design ensures seamless integration with Cold Jet Connect for remote recipe management and analytics.

Beyond core upgrades, it has improvements that boost machine performance and user experience. These include: a redesigned internal layout with consolidated pneumatic components for easier maintenance; colour-coded tubing for clear identifi- cation; and more durable blast hoses and perfor- mance applicators. www.coldjet.com

Coperion and Herbold Meckesheim will show their expertise in entire systems through virtual animation – with both a compounding plant and a system for recycling plastic. The processes involved can be experienced digitally with the aid of simulation. In addition, rotors from Herbold Meckesheim

granulators will be seen in various sizes and for many applications. The cutting geometry is the main reason for the high efficiency the rotors, says the company.

Along with individual components, Coperion and Herbold Meckesheim deliver entire systems for plastics recycling. From mechanical processing – shredding, washing, separating, drying and agglomerating of plastics – to bulk material handling as well as feeding and extrusion all the way to compounding and pelletising, such plants cover the entire plastics reclamation process chain. Customers can test a wide variety of plastic

recycling processes and technologies under actual

Engel will introduce its electric E-mac 500 injection moulding machine at Fakuma

production conditions – in Coperion and Herbold Meckesheim’s fully equipped test centres – before they invest. Herbold’s 800m2

facility in Meckesheim,

Germany, includes a complete washing line for cold and hot washing as well as many size reduction solutions including shredders, granulators, pulveris- ers and plastic compactors for densification. In 2023, Coperion opened a recycling innovation centre in Weingarten, Germany with individually configurable recycling plants – allowing recyclate to be conveyed, fed, extruded, compounded, pel- letised and deodorised. www.coperion.com www.herbold.com

Engel will present a number of recent innovations, focusing on precision injection moulding. At the show, it will launch its electric E-mac 500 injection moulding machine, which has a clamping force of 5000 kN. It combines high performance with energy efficiency and a compact design. Featuring a high-performance clamping drive and iQ motion control digital assistant, the machine claims to achieve faster cycle times and reduce energy consumption by up to 30% compared to hybrid or hydraulic machines. The model also offers versatile expansion packages, making it ideal for energy-intensive production. It will be showcased at the trade fair producing 4-litre containers using in-mould labelling. In addition, it will show its latest generation of

Wintec T-win machines, with more than 20 new options. By the end of this year, additional options – such as proportional valves for core pulls and servo valves for injection – will further increase the machines’ flexibility, it says. In a live demonstration, the T-win 5500-4900 will produce battery box lids and back panels from ABS. The company will also showcase the tiebarless

Victory 160, which will produce fittings. It has a cycle time of around 40 seconds and a larger platen for quick mould changes, reducing downtime and raising productivity. An integrated digital setup assistant helps to minimise errors and boost overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). www.engelglobal.com

Pure Loop – which is part of Erema – says its Isec Evo plastic pelletising system can recover scrap from various plastics and process them into recycled pellets. “Our integrated shredder-extruder combination is the perfect solution for injection moulders who want to return their production waste to the production cycle in high quality,” said Manfred
