cockpit bicycle handlebars for Canyon Bicycles. Here, aluminium is replaced by plastic – which shrinks production time to 60 seconds. The technique combines local reinforcement with continuous fibre-reinforced tapes and Fluid- melt technology to make hollow bodies within a closed process. Components are made from a polyamide 6 with 50% glass fibre reinforcement supplied by Domo Chemicals. By integrating four unidirectional carbon fibre tapes (UD tapes) – placed in the mould before moulding – the part withstands high mechanical loads despite its low wall thickness and hollow structure. During the process, Fluidmelt injects gas and pushes the plastic core of the component back into the plasticising unit, creating a hollow part. The displaced material is reused in the production of the next component. Combining local UD tapes and Fluidmelt enables complex hollow-body geometries while reducing material and energy use. In addition, the company will introduce an
updated version of its electric tiebarless Victory machine. At K, it will be used to make overmoulded fittings in a cycle time of 23 seconds. The mould includes large-volume core pulls, which are optimally supported by the free access provided
network, high quality standards and a German contractual partnership,” said Alexander Dangel, managing partner at Gollmer Formen. As well as sourcing simple injection moulds, it can handle large, multi-cavity and both 2K and 3K moulds. At its site in Germany, the company has a fully equipped mould shop, where it can carry out changes and corrections. These solutions combine the injection moulding machine and mould into a production-ready complete system. In cooperation with machinery manufacturer Haitian, it offers customers a complete package of injection moulding machine, injection mould and automation from a single source.

Hasco will showcase new developments in mouldmaking and hot runners at K2025. In mould bases, it has increased its cooling
range. The extended cooling system Ø5 allows precise cooling of slide bars and small moulds – which is ideal for complex applications with limited build volume, it says. The range is supple- mented by further chemical working substances with NSF H1 certification, to meet the highest safety standards in food and medical technology. With a new slide retainer, Hasco offers a reliable way to avoid damage and malfunctions with slide inserts. The new InsertKey also enables unambigu-
