ability,” said Cornelia Frank, head of sustainability at Kiefel. “That’s why we are pleased to be present- ing solutions that match this year’s focal topics of the circular economy, digitisation and climate protection.”

In live demonstrations of its KMD 78.2 Speed steel rule machine, Kiefel will illustrate how packaging products can be made from recycled film – which helps tray-to-tray recycling. It is made possible by in-house tool technology and smart automation concepts. The company will also unveil its new Kiefel Speed Automation (KSA).

In the aftersales division, the range of digital services has been expanded. The Kiefel Portal is a central online platform that allows customers to keep an eye on their machine status using the ‘Maintenance Dashboard’ – and plan upcoming maintenance. Also, users are informed about suitable machine upgrades. The portal can also be used to identify and request machine spare parts, machine documentation and interactive online training courses. At the same time, Kiefel will present medical and pharmaceutical innovations. It will show its expanded portfolio of bioprocess bags and machine technol- ogy. The 3D and 2D bags can be made from various materials – such as PE, PP, PVC or EVA – depending on customer needs. Options include semi-automatic or fully automatic machines, and disposable bags for the storage of stem cells or cell cultures.
