Stretch line French packaging supplier BS Packaging has invested in a number of systems from Colines of Italy – including a 1500mm AllRollex stretch film extrusion line and winder. “The flexibility of the AllRollex is pivotal for us, given the
diverse rolls size requirements in the market,” said Patrick Richard, industrial director at BS Packaging. “In addition, the AllSpeedy IV winder facilitates quick
production changes, smoothly transitioning between automatic and manual rolls, even with different core diameters.” The investment, of around €3.6 million, allowed the
production of ‘Nanolayer’ film and also included the Mastermind virtual production assistant.
Machine agreement Italian plastics machinery specialists Uteco and Bimec have signed an agreement to offer joint solutions and a wide portfolio of products to converting customers. While Uteco specialises in printing and converting, Bimec supplies slitter rewinders and ancillaries for plastic extrusion. The companies say that the tie-up will allow them to offer
several synergy benefits. These include: commercial (such as exploiting both direct sales forces and a large distribu- tion network); and operational, to improve technical assistance by sharing a service network.
