Graphic Products (RGP), a US-based provider of closed-loop press automation solutions. For years, RGP has partnered with X-Rite to deliver scanning automation technology that enables converters to upgrade their printing presses with cost-effective solutions. This acquisition positions X-Rite to deliver a fully integrated, best-of-suite press automation offering, according to the company.
Company integration German specialty chemical company Budenheim has completed the integration of QolorTech, whose compounding assets and application laboratories will strengthen Budenheim’s capabili- ties while differentiating it as a fully-integrated additive-masterbatch provider. The integration is anchored in the Global Application Centre for Polymers in Vaassen, Netherlands, which serves as the central hub for masterbatch formulation, additive technologies, and application testing. Budenheim focuses its polymer activities on the development, validation, and qualification, of customer-specific formulations, saying this trans- lates into a much broader portfolio of additives and functional masterbatches, shorter development and qualification processes, unified technical service and application testing, and ongoing
sustainability and regulatory-compliance support. “The integration of QolorTech is a key milestone in the evolution of our polymer business,” said Noelia Mansilla, Executive Vice President, Division Material Science at Budenheim. “By bringing additive chemistry, masterbatch formulation, and application testing into one central hub, we enable our customers to develop and qualify their polymer materials faster, with greater performance confi- dence and regulatory clarity.” UK manufacturer of masterbatches, compounds,

latest material innovations as well as colours and effects from its extensive library. As the industry navigates increasingly stringent environmental legislation and higher performance requirements, Broadway has positioned itself as a key partner for customised performance materials and solutions to reduce environmental impact. Its display at Interplas offered an interactive experience allowing visitors to evaluate what the company has to offer. Datacolor offers a wide range of solutions that help ensure colour accuracy, reduce waste, and streamline production. “There is a strong emphasis on colour digitalisation and communication workflows for brands and their supply chains, helping to improve virtual colour approvals, reduce the need for physical samples, and accelerate time to market,” said Jutta Albertin, Project Manager at Datacolor. “Data analytics is another key area, transforming customer data so that more informed decisions can be made while extending software capabilities to seamlessly share data with third- party systems such as enterprise resource planning (ERP) and laboratory information management systems (LIMS) helps improve production efficien- cies. Across the plastics packaging market, our solutions are designed to support both rigid and flexible applications, ensuring precise colour matching and monitoring among opaque, semi- opaque, and transparent materials. This enables consistent results across a wide range of materials and production environments.” Advanced colour matching software platforms
are increasingly being used to address the techni- cal challenges of working with recycled materials, enabling more accurate handling of variations in colour and opacity and providing flexible work- flows for efficient batch-to-batch colour correction. “Looking ahead, there is an anticipated push for more sustainable products, alongside continued demand for smarter colour measurement and software solutions,” said Albertin. “These tools will support manufacturers as they transition to more eco-friendly materials, while also helping reduce pigment loading without compromising material properties.”
Tech innovations Datacolor has introduced the Spectro P Series, a next generation portable spectrophotometer platform designed for demanding industrial environments where consistent colour quality control is essential. The instrument delivers accurate, repeatable colour measurements from the laboratory to the production floor, helping manufacturers maintain consistency across batches
