AMI launches Textiles Recycling Expo in Europe next year
The Textiles Recycling Expo is making its debut on 4-5 June 2025 in Brussels, Belgium. Organised by Compounding World publisher AMI, this ground- breaking exhibition is the first of its kind, focusing specifically on solving the pressing issue of textile waste, including the recycling of fabrics, cloth- ing, footwear, fibres and non-wovens. Designed to foster collaboration and spark innovation, the Textiles Recycling Expo and its conference theatre are free to attend. Akro-Plastic expands sales in US and plans production
German ETP compounds producer Akro-Plastic is increasing its development in the North American market, starting with the creation of a US sales subsidiary. Akro-Plastic Inc has started operating this month and the sales operation “will be followed by the establishment of local production in the medium term”, said its parent Feddersen Group in an announcement about the group’s 75th anniversary celebration. Akro-Plastic currently

annually at its production sites in Germany, China and Brazil. Its product portfolio includes polyamides, polyketones, polyesters and other materials. Key markets for the company are auto- motive, durable consumer goods and public transport. In a statement to custom-
