Delta Tecnic set to buy French toll compounder

Delta Tecnic has entered into exclusive negotiations regarding the potential acquisition of 100% of French specialty master- batch and compound producer Polytechs and its subsidiaries. Founded in 1980 and

headquartered in Cany- Barville, Normandy, Poly- techs offers both custom- ised tolling and semi-tolling services alongside a wide portfolio of proprietary masterbatches serving key industries such as wire & cable, energy, and food packaging.

With this acquisition,

Delta Tecnic said it will strengthen its position as a one-stop provider of solutions for the thermo- plastic industry and extend its offering. As an added benefit, the geographical relationship would enable Delta Tecnic to strengthen

its presence in the French market, while Polytechs would gain access to Delta Tecnic’s established net- works in Spain, Italy, and Mexico. Delta Tecnic started business in Spain and has since expanded to the Americas. Polytechs would represent the Group’s second add-on acquisition since September 2024, following the acquisition of

additive masterbatch producer IFG. Post-acquisition, Delta

Tecnic expects to generate combined revenues of approximately €140m and would operate eight manu- facturing facilities across Spain, Italy, France, and Mexico. (See Masterbatch feature on page 23 for more on Delta Tecnic.) https://deltatecnic.com/ www.polytechs.fr

First bioplastic pipette commercially available

Elm-plastic developed the pipette in collaboration with Biovox and Ultrapolymers

4 COMPOUNDING WORLD | November 2025

Elm-plastic, a German manufac- turer of dosing aids and primary pharmaceutical packaging, has launched the first commercially available bio-based plastic pipette. The pipettes, which use MedEco bioplastics from Biovox, are either 100% based on polylactic acid (PLA) or 95% based on bio-based polyethylene (PE). These com- pounds are intended for use in medical and laboratory technology, are available with a wide range of properties, are compliant with ISO 10993, and can be sterilised using EO/radiation and SCC.

The Bio-Pipette was developed

through a strategic collaboration between Elm-plastic, Biovox, and Ultrapolymers. While Elm-plastic was responsible for the product- specific design, manufacturing, and regulatory compliance, Biovox developed and manufactures MedEco compounds, and Ultrapol- ymers provided initial consulting services for material selection and processing up to the start of series production. https://elmplastic.com www.biovox.systems https://ultrapolymers.com
