Agrotop: dropleg systems with a difference
Dropleg systems apply the spray liquid underneath the crop’s leaves and by doing so restrict the amount of drift, but their disadvantage is fragility. The new dropleg systems from Agro- top have therefore been made using lightweight, flexible mate- rial. The cap holders are fitted to a pipe with one or more fasten- ers, and the droplet shape pre- vents the cap holder getting caught behind parts of the

plants while passing by. A quick-release fastener is used to hang each pipe from a bracket on the spray boom.
The French drone service pio- neer and inventor of the mul- tiSPEC 4C multispectral drone camera Airinov, is starting a drone leasing service. This initia- tive aims to make the technolo- gy more affordable to farmers. The concept consists of an Agri- drone (this is a senseFly eBee SQ fixed wing drone), nitrogen fer- tilisation recommendation and premium support for € 599 per month. SQ (most likely) refers to
the Parrot Sequoia camera fitted to the black and red eBee SQ. The custom eBee is coloured black and yellow.
Through the air
The French company Reflet du Monde is looking for parties that are interested in (sell- ing) the RDM AG: an independently operat- ing drone for dosing seed, crop protection products, and organisms for biological weed control. A French agricultural cooperative is running a machine that does the latter. The drone is able to fly for 15 minutes at a time with a 10 kg payload, and has a diameter of 2 metres. The guide price for this drone is € 50,000.
