We received 313 total responses for this month’s survey from nearly 5,300 readers who have the job titles of transportation director or fleet manager, for a response rate of 6 percent. Here is what they told us about their experiences with using new technologies in their fleets.

Tablets, Wi-Fi & Collision Mitigation


23% said they have implemented onboard tablets for school bus drivers (142 responses)


42% of those readers said they use tablets to track movement of students on and off the bus

70% said the tablets are used for pre- and/or post- trip inspections (33 responses)
