ACT Expo held last month in Las Vegas, Nevada fea-
tured sessions on AI and autonomy as well as low- and zero-emission vehicles. The acronym originally stood for Advanced Clean Transportation. Last year, ACT Expo event was rebranded by event producer TRC Compa- to demonstrate the “expanded scope across advanced, autonomous, connected, and clean transportation tech- nologies.” TRC noted that ACT Expo can no longer “be simply
defined as the clean or advanced technology show—it has become so much more.” ACT now stands: Advanced, Autonomous, Alternative,
AI, Analytics, Adaptable, Assets; Clean, Commercial, Connected, Cost-Effective, Compliant, Charged, Car- bon-free; Transportation, Technology, Transition, Trailers, Telematics, TCO, and Tires. School Transportation News is an event media spon-
sor and wrote articles on: An Autonomous Near-Future? ‘AI’ Think So; Propane Grabs Spotlight as Fleets Seek Less Expensive, Cleaner Fuel; Tighter 2027 EPA NOx Rules Put Fleets on the Clock, and Report Highlights Propane and Electric TCO for School Bus.
