Miller and two other router/ dispatchers then build routes as needed. She noted her routing job function focuses on con- tracted routes and car services. For contracted routes, she noted that she will offer advice, such as when a vehicle approaches from the opposite side of the school campus. Otherwise, she makes no adjustments. “I really wish I would have that ability some days to


make those minor adjustments,” she said “To just say, ‘Hey, that is really not the best way to get that student. It’s going to cost you three extra minutes. Why don’t you just go take those other two turns instead?” She it would be helpful to provide insight, for in- stance, when road closures haven’t shown up on Google Maps yet.
