ithin creativity great artists want to show not only what they can create

visually but why they create. Their work stands the test of time because it touches our senses beyond our eyes. Artist Danny Ryan has won the hearts of his collectors with his wondrous portrayal of endangered species in playful human like settings. This dynamic allows the viewer to observe and feel the closeness that we have with all animals and be mindful of our connectivity. In his new series “Tipping the Scales” it

is Ryan's desire is to show the dichotomy between large and small, strong and weak, playful and serious. His governing

philosophy is that humans and animals must find a way to live together as mutually respectful species and thus creating a true community. Ryan reminds us that it is this balance that must be preserved if the planet is to continue to survive.

Crafting his medium from sustainable exotic woods Ryan adds yet another layer to his artistic genius. Intricate details are

found in both the intricate wood inlays and the meticulous stippling that has become Ryan's signature style. Adding to this is a fun and whimsical yet profound nod to Pop Art and deeper social contexts. Daniel Ryan promises to continue his pursuit in bringing a strong message to the planet and is hopeful that we will tip the scales to a healthy and thriving planet for all!
