Nelson Island Diamond is one of our beautiful
traditionally-based scarf patterns
The pattern pictured below comes from Southwestern Alaska on Nelson Island. This pattern was adapted from the decorative trim of a parka used in the Nelson Island area. It is thought to represent the clashing of the packed ice as it breaks apart in the waters around the islands in the spring, leaving ice
floes and ice in the shape of diamonds. For more patterns visit our website.
