WELCOME


Welcome to the first edition of a new digital magazine: CENTRALIANPLUS.


The focus of CENTRALIANPLUS is to provide thought- provoking content about what’s shaping the future of the University, including feature-length stories highlighting research activities, student work, faculty accomplishments, fundraising activities, such as major gifts and new initiatives, and special events.


This format allows us to communicate our University values of experiential learning, student success, and community engagement in a deeply personal way. We hope this will resonate with our students, faculty, staff, alumni, and stakeholders.


Our digital magazine will be published three times each year: fall, winter, and spring. Each edition of CENTRALIANPLUS will feature the following sections:


• Points of Excellence, highlighting an academic program or faculty accomplishment


• Profiles of Legacy, celebrating noted alumni and alumni chapters


• Partners for Progress, spotlighting community partners


• Eureka! The Joy of Discovery, showcasing exciting CSU news both on and off campus


The inaugural edition of CENTRALIANPLUS features a line-up of University firsts: national honors for an innovative program in the College of Business, the creation of a new advisory group helping to lead the


success of the Agricultural Education program, and a story about a noted Centralian who achieved great success on a national stage.


The University continues to play a vital role in the lives of our students, both locally and nationally. As an 1890 Land-Grant Institution, we work to educate and prepare our students to become the next generation of global leaders. We want to celebrate and share this great institution with the world around us!
