Society U.K. invited members to accept a full advertorial page in the WPCS Journal 2021 to pro- mote their farm, breeding or to honour one of their horses. This journal, 2021, was the best I ever read.
I paid a special tribute to
Synod Rosie Roberts, Welsh Pony of Cob Type, Section C, and her two “special” filly foals, sired by Apollo and Gabriel re- spectively. Rosie was the first horse to
qualify for RWF 2001. She was massive! As a youngster she weighed 900 pounds at the Uni- versity of Guelph Veterinary Hospital. There was little interest in

the Welsh Pony of Cob Type. When When Rosie came to Canada as a foal in 1999, Section C “exploded!” Everyone had to have a Section C. The mass hysteria attracted
strangers who started breeding Section C. Even RWF changed the order of the classes. The Welsh Mountain Pony waned. This intense interest in
Canada continued long after her death and seems to have influ- enced people who never knew her.
Rosie was a classy coura-
geous lady who was placed on this earth because she had an ex- traordinary mission. She tried her very best. Al-
ways, she did everything she was told. She paid the ultimate price. “We cannot make our own
Show Champion Section C, and Reserve Supreme of Show at
2012 National Foal Show. In 2018 he won the Ridden Class at the
Royal Welsh and qualified for HOYS and Olympia. He “has defied all, being the youngest ever
to enter the prestigious WPCS Section C Sire Rat- ings ‘Hall of Fame’.” (7 fillies, 7 colts). His sire Moorcroft The master won Sire ratings at age 8 (2013-2016). A gentleman purchased him at Brightwell’s
Auction for a Christmas gift for his wife. Bidding accelerated at a pace never seen at
these sales with £5,000 increments the order of the day. The selling price was £45,000. The highest
ever paid. For subscription or
