SEPTEMBER/ OCTOBER 2021 THE RIDER /15 at Montasola Farms in Stevensville
Wow! Yet another SOLD OUT weekend of RAM Rodeo! The RAM Rodeo Tour hit the trail this past
weekend as Montasola Farms in Stevensville hosted the first ever Niagara-Stevensville RAM Rodeo, to another SOLD OUT weekend! This back to back rodeo sell out is something we only dreamed of hap- pening when we decided to resume the sport of rodeo in Ontario. Our plan is to carry this momentum for the rest of the season with a few more rodeo stops left before we end the season at the Championship Finals
in Newmarket on October 23 & 24.
Ben Vander Meer of Mon-
tasola Farms with the help of many volunteers, put on a great event. He is is ‘at a total loss for words’ with how well the rodeo weekend went and would like to thank the community for their support in purchasing tick- ets, sponsorship and volunteer- ing. He can’t wait to have the
staff, entertainment and cow- boys/cowgirls of the RAM Rodeo Tour return for another great weekend in 2022! The Niagara-Stevensville
RAM Rodeo had a standing- room only crowd for both shows on Saturday and Sunday, with the cowboys and cowgirls putting on a great performance! Congratulations to cowgirl Mackenzie Murdoch on her 16
second run to win the Alberta Premium Barrel Racing. Cow- boy, Derek Holden was able to put on an 8 second ride on Bro- ken Bruce to win the RAM Bull Riding. The B&W Trailer Hitches Saddlebronc & Bare- back event had no qualified rides as the bucking horses were fresh and ready from their long break. Mackenzie Finney had the only run under 21 sec-
onds to win the System Equine Pole Bending, and she also placed second in Barrel Racing! The Case IH Youth events saw some great times and scores and would like to congratulate in Deirdre Smullen in Youth Pole Bending, and Elena Van Nuland in Youth Barrel Racing.
