Eastern Canadian Affiliate Finals - ORHA Futurity

It was a packed house as every stall was full and competitors from Ontario, Quebec and Eastern Canada were competing to be eligible for the NRHA North American Finals in Oklahoma City early in December. and Non Pro categories. A big thank you to G&K training centres for supporting the class with beautiful Continental saddles for both Level 4 Champions. The ORHA Futurity is growing very quickly and the great prizes and fabulous payouts have made this one of the best futurity programs. The Level 4 Open with $5,000.00 US Funds added money plus a saddle and prizes for all competitors and the Level 4 Non/ Pro with $3,000.00 US funds added money plus the saddle and prizes . Yearlings can be paid up before January 15 to be part of the ORHA Futurity. Saturday evening was a celebration of a great friend and competitor- Dareth Millers birthday. Dareth and Joan are amazing supporters of the organization and always there to lend a helping hand. The final day of the weekend started out with a very large Novice horse class hoping to qualify for OKC followed


by the Youth affiliate finals and team tournament. Logan Kendall winning youth 14-18, little sister Ella winning youth 13 and under for the family sweep and Scarlet Ros winning in Short stirrup. Non Pro was the final affiliate of the weekend as Marilou Paradis riding Dreaming Major won the Non Pro and Int Non/ Pro, Amy Epis winning LTD on Maggies Dream and PT winner was Michelle Mailhiot. It was a fabulous weekend and we cannot thank everyone enough that made this show possible, all of our sponsors and hard work from board and members working together for a common goal.
