Friday, to the gorgeous weather all weekend, to our very generous spon- sors and all the volunteers who made the weekend run smoothly, to Saddle- wood’s lodgings (both horse and human!), deli- cious homemade food, friendly faces and the most immaculately prepared and maintained ring foot- ing we’ve ever raced on – the weekend was a smash-

ing success. And we can- not forget OXC President, Susan Caldwell’s hilarious Cowboy Games on Satur- day night – three divisions of competitors competed in stick horse races, a rop- ing relay, chuck wagon race (think card-board boxes and baling twine), a rousing game of musical buckets, and a masked training run (no horses were involved in Cowboy Games – except the stick horse kind!)

This was a weekend

where we made new friendships and made ex- isting friendships stronger. Competitors cheered each other on, lent buckets, ropes and brooms, had many laughs and created memories of a lifetime. It was the true spirit of Ex- treme Cowboy Racing; do your best, strive for the buckle, but do it with friends by your side and fun in your heart. Here are your OXC
