WHAT’S NEW KEY APPOINTMENTS FOR KERAKOLL

Federico Menta has been invited to take on the role of new Chief of Research & Development (CR&DO), with responsibility for guiding research, development and quality control activities; fundamental pillars for a Group like Kerakoll that makes innovation and sustainability two of the hallmarks of its DNA and invests 2.6% of turnover into R&D and technical assistance. The company, at Group level, has 69 lines with a total of over 6,000 products for laying, building and surfaces.

The winners of Ca’ Pietra’s inaugural Retail Design Awards have been announced.


The independent judging panel, which included Pip Rich, Georgina Blaskey and Mo Hussen, selected one winner in each of the five categories – Bathroom Design of the Year, Kitchen Design of the Year, Showroom of the Year, Creative Design of the Year and One to Watch.


The winners of each category were:


• Bathroom Design of the Year – Andrew Pope, Spaces by Design


• Kitchen Design of the Year – Geri O’Toole, Geri Designs • Showroom of the Year – Rouse Tile Studio • Creative Design of the Year – Andrew Dawson, North Arch Bathrooms


• One to Watch – Sophie Harrold, Simply Bathrooms


Grazzie Wilson, Marketing Director at Ca’ Pietra, said: “We had a fantastic response to our first Retail Design Awards, with entries in the hundreds. We saw some fantastic projects which showcased the use of our tiles to their full potential, along with the very best in creative design.


“The judging panel were blown away by the quality and had an exceptionally hard time picking the winner as the standards were that high. We are already planning next year’s awards and to build on the success of 2024.”
