Hello and welcome to the Spring 2025 edition of Tomorrow’s Tile & Stone.

In our first issue of the year, we take a look at two of the biggest challenges faced by the tile and stone sectors today; sustainability and the skills and labour shortage.

While it is undoubtedly crucial for manufacturers to strive for more environmentally friendly processes, a commitment to workforce development and investment in future tilers is equally vital.

In our Training & Development feature this month, we shine the spotlight on how Topps Tiles is sponsoring apprenticeships at two regional colleges, and in our sustainability focus, we hear from Palace and Kerakoll on the steps they are taking towards greener manufacturing.

And having set up an upgraded training academy last year, Schlüter Systems is well placed to answer any industry queries. In our Bathrooms & Wetrooms feature, Training Manager Andrew Curry answers installers top 10 questions on waterproofing and tiling in these areas.

As well as all of this, we have a wealth of inspiration and advice on the latest trends, underfloor heating and more.

I hope you enjoy the issue.
