Q7 Q8

Wine.

IF YOU COULD HOST A DINNER PARTY WITH

ANY THREE GUESTS, DEAD OR ALIVE, WHO WOULD THEY BE

Q1 Q2

Q3

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST JOB?

I was a sales assistant in a department store. Funnily enough, in homeware.

HOW DID YOU GET INTO THE TILE/

STONE INDUSTRY? From the ground up. I started out as a Marketing Assistant at British Ceramic Tile.

WHO, IN ANY OTHER INDUSTRY, DO YOU

MOST ADMIRE? Michelle Obama. I admire her dignity, elegance, and poise; and how she was able to maintain them in the face of so much adversity.

Q4 Q5

IF MONEY WAS NO OBJECT, WHAT CAR

WOULD YOU BUY? I’m not really a car person, but I do have my eye on a beach house.

IF YOU COULD INVENT ONE PRODUCT TO

MAKE YOUR JOB EASIER,

WHAT WOULD IT BE? A 36-hour day.

AND WHY? Freddie Mercury, Prince and Christine and the Queens. It would be a party with great music.

Q9

IF YOU COULD VISIT ANY PLACE IN THE

WORLD, WHERE WOULD YOU

GO AND WHY? Kilimanjaro. It’s the next mountain to climb on my bucket list.

WHAT DID YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU

WERE GROWING UP? A professional singer, but my dreams were crushed when I was kicked out of the church choir by a priest who said I was tone deaf. Coincidentally, I married the West End’s leading vocal coach- who also said I’m beyond saving!

WHAT DO YOU DO TO UNWIND?

Q10

KATY BLACK, MARKETING

DIRECTOR FROM VERONA, ASKED: HOW DO YOU THINK THE RISE IN ONLINE SHOPPING WILL AFFECT THE TILE INDUSTRY OVER THE

NEXT FEW YEARS? Customers will have direct access to a much wider range of products and won’t be limited by stock space issues in stores. The past 12 months have proven that online shopping works just as well in our sector as in any other.
