TAKES TO EUROPE Anvil Traction, the UK specialist in slip-resistant footwear, has announced its expansion into the European Market and appointed a German-based regional sales manager.


Following extensive research into the European market, Anvil Traction this year made the announcement that they were expanding into Europe with the appointment of Michael Block, who would take on the role of Regional Sales Manager for Germany, Switzerland and Austria.


Michael joins the company with many years of B2B experience and a wealth of knowledge of the slip-resistant footwear market gained from five years in a similar position for Shoes at Crews.


Mark Burman, Director of the TRIPAL Group commented: “Our business has invested heavily in R&D to understand the science of slip resistance and to develop outsoles with world-leading coefficients of friction results. These outsoles are launching throughout 2018 and will give us a platform to fully internationalise this business


LAW AT WORK CELEBRATES RECORD


SUCCESS Law At Work (LAW), the employment law, HR and health & safety specialists, has made two strategic hires, as it celebrates record success in the first half of its financial year.

Circle HR in 2016, has expanded to include Senior HR Consultant, Lynn Lavelle, who has 15 years’ experience as an HR advisor, and has previously worked in Royal Bank of Scotland’s Mentor division.


The second strategic hire, Michael Moran, joined Safety At Work, the health and safety arm of the business, as manager in January 2018 after a period with one of the UK’s largest fixed-fee consultancy firms, Peninsula Business Services.


Douglas Cameron, Head of Safety Services, Safety At Work, said: “As we increase our footprint in the hospitality, facilities management and charity sector, it was necessary to expand our team, taking the total number of health and safety specialists up to four. We are also seeing an increase in more project- based work, with clients seeking support on various issues including conducting fire risk assessments in high-risk premises.”
