HEALTH & SAFETY EVENT TOYOTA

Stand: HS208 Toyota Material Handling will be showcasing a range of hand pallet trucks, powered pallet trucks and towing tractors that reduce manual handling, and will be on hand to provide support and free safety resources to visitors to the stand who use materials handling equipment.

On stand will be the BT Pro Lifter manual hand pallet truck (LHM230QP) and the BT Highlifter hand pallet truck (HHM100). The BT Pro Lifter features unique Pro Start technology that helps to get loads moving using 67% less effort than a standard hand pallet truck.

The HHM100 can be used for moving goods quickly and easily and for

STAYSAFE

Stand: HS320 StaySafe is a smartphone app and cloud-based monitoring service which provides personal protection for lone workers. The app monitors employee location in real time via satellite or cellular signal, enabling employees to check-in safely and request immediate assistance if necessary.

StaySafe utilises the best mobile technology to ensure lone workers can signal for help in any situation. Whether they suffer a fall and are unable to make a call, are confronted by an aggressive client or work in areas of low signal, StaySafe has a solution.

How it works is simple. Lone workers activate a timed session on the StaySafe app before they begin working alone. If they miss a check-in, their session expires or they trigger any of StaySafe’s alerts, a notification will be sent to a monitor.

The monitor is then able to open the StaySafe Hub, view all of their lone workers’ locations on a map and access any notes left by staff when starting a session. The organisation’s standard response procedures can be viewed and followed from within the Hub, and the alert resolved.

The StaySafe app can also be paired with the V.BTTN, a small, versatile device which can be worn discreetly and used to check-in, send a panic alert or detect a fall.

Despite offering a wide range of functionality, StaySafe has been designed to be incredibly user friendly. So not only does it provide full protection for the lone worker, but it allows organisations to cut back on the time and costs associated with traditional, manual check in systems.

WHY STAYSAFE? Flexible, customisable and easy to use, StaySafe is suitable for use across any industry or business size – allowing you to better meet your duty of care to your lone working staff.

raising loads to a comfortable working height up to 80cm. Also on stand will be the BT Levio LWE130 lightweight powered pallet truck, designed to move loads safely and efficiently.

Additionally, Toyota will be showcasing the Toyota Tracto TWE080N pedestrian tow tractor with roll cage at the show; designed for easy movement of load carriers, it reduces the need to move roll cages by hand, avoiding injuries such as trapped hands and feet.

Once again, Toyota will be sponsoring the Safer Logistics seminar theatre, in which team members will be discussing health and safety in the workplace and how powered equipment can help organisations to improve safety.

The free safety resources include forklift safety guides, manual handling guides and a number of best practice posters. Toyota team members will be available to talk to visitors about their materials handling operations and provide them with advice on which trucks may best suit their operation.

Jon Buckley, Commercial Director at Toyota, said: “At Toyota we are focused on providing not only the safest trucks for our customers, but also industry leading advice and support. We are constantly looking at new and innovative solutions to increase safety in materials handling operations and we’re so glad that shows such as The Health and Safety Event provide us with a platform where we can showcase these.”
