MASSIVE SAVINGS WITH SERVICE-FREE EXTINGUISHERS

The service-free P50 fire extinguishers have saved companies, refineries, farms, universities, hospitals and churches significant amounts of money.

savings have been as high as £300 per extinguisher over a ten-year period.

The P50 extinguishers do not require annual servicing by an external fire extinguisher technician; instead they are visually inspected once a year by a member of the customer’s FM team, with the findings recorded in the fire safety logbook, as well as on the body of the extinguisher. As this product has a ten-year warranty, should any defects be found at the point of visual inspection, the extinguisher is immediately replaced free of charge by Safelincs.

While traditional extinguishers have to be refilled every five years, the P50s only need refilling after ten years, a massive cost saving and a great environmental advantage. By cutting out annual engineer travel and the need to refill every five years, these extinguishers offer businesses a great reduction of their carbon footprint and their chemical waste output. At the point of their ten-year refill the extinguishers are factory refurbished and good for another decade of service life.

Safelincs makes the introduction of the P50 service-free extinguishers easy for customers. We offer to introduce the extinguishers either gradually, in line with the existing extinguisher stock reaching the end of its service life, or in one install, in whichever way the customer wishes to proceed. We even offer consolidation of traditional extinguishers with residual service life in parts of the property, while introducing the P50 series in other parts of the buildings or property.

As the customer will not receive service engineers’ visits for ten years, Safelincs takes the correct installation and ongoing visual inspection by the end customer extremely seriously. When purchasing the P50 extinguisher, our customers automatically receive a free site survey, professional installation, commissioning and, very important, training. Our certified engineers will first of all carry out a site survey to make sure that you have sufficient extinguisher cover. They then install and commission the extinguishers, issuing you with an extinguisher cover certificate. We then train your staff in the simple visual inspection of the extinguishers and issue you a formal training certificate.

In addition, we pass you a pre-written standard letter, which you need to send to your insurance to ensure that they are notified of the modified maintenance regime. These steps ensure that you are fully covered by the correct amount and type of extinguishers and have a functioning visual maintenance routine.

P50 service-free extinguishers are, of course, kitemarked by BSI to EN3, CE marked and tested to the most extreme performance tests available for extinguishers. Our client base speaks for itself; P50 customers in the UK include the best known British College, the UK’s most expensive luxury hotel in Knightsbridge, refineries across the UK as well as innumerable office blocks, cathedrals and universities.
