Be inspired by keynote speakers Facilities Show also seeks to inspire its guests to transform their facilities management strategy with unique new ideas. This year, it welcomes three inspirational speakers, who share the lessons of their varied careers and life experiences to help the audience appreciate big ideas like risk, courage and perseverance.
The first speaker is Steph McGovern, journalist and presenter on BBC Breakfast, who will talk about her career journey from an apprentice engineer to an award- winning journalist – and a household name. She will also share some of what she has learned from her biggest interviews – including Donald Trump – and the importance of good business practice, skills, and vocational training.
Steph is followed a day later by Eddie the Eagle, the legendary Winter Olympic ski jump underdog. His inspirational speech will cover his life in ski jumping and the consequences of his most serious injury, with stories drawn from a career fraught with considerable risk, but made possible by the courage to try something new and daring.
The final inspirational keynote speaker is England rugby legend Jonny Wilkinson, whose high-profile struggles with his mental health in a male-dominated environment led to depression, panic attacks and anxiety. His honest, sincere speech will consider what his experience has taught him about mental health, balancing work with his personal life and the danger of overwork.
