Hello and welcome to the July issue of Tomorrow’s FM.
The day this issue is published, the country will go to the polls for the General Election 2024. Following six weeks of policy debates, political soundbites and an election gaffe likely to go down as one of the biggest own goals in modern British political history, the public will decide who forms the next government. At the time of writing, the Labour lead still sits at 20 points, the difference between the two major parties having barely budged since the election was called. It’s certainly going to be an interesting first few weeks after the result is announced early Friday morning.

In this issue we take a deep dive in Health, Safety and Wellbeing. The HSE official statistics suggest that 1.8 million working people suffering from a work-related illness, of which 875,000 workers suffer work-related stress, depression or anxiety, and 473,000 workers suffering from a work-related musculoskeletal disorder. With this in mind, several of our experts in this issue discuss ways to improve health and safety in general. TB Davies highlights the importance of low-level access in workplace safety, whilst doorassure explains why fire door compliance is so important.
Elsewhere we shine the spotlight on Landscape & Grounds Maintenance, Social Housing & Community Facilities and Food & Drink.
Enjoy the read.
