CONSTRUCTION & BIM
For the buildings and facilities management space, that has so far remained bereft of a focus on the facilities experience, a real-time, unified, and AI & IoT-led facilities management approach is the key to delivering that valuable experience to customers, and for CREs and FMs to remain relevant and create value.
Time for a rethink The building and facilities management industry is poised for a transformative change, with a dire need to reimagine the facilities experience, and deliver a unified solution integrating maintenance, operations and sustainability. The entire ecosystem is hungry for agility and innovation to drive continuous efficiency and ROI. CREs and FMs are now demanding a shift from traditional, tactical facilities management towards a more smarter, predictive facilities experience.

A recent analysis report by Verdantix, a global research consultancy specialising in energy, real estate, facilities and maintenance, estimates that the global market for software and related IT services in buildings is currently estimated at $8bn, and is expected to reach $12bn (£9.59bn) by 2022. Globally, facilities services spend stands at close to $1tn today and the energy spend is also close to the same. This means the potential for change and realizing efficiencies is massive.
Smart buildings, smart workforces, smart cities - these are the building blocks of all future economies. AI & IoT-led facilities management might hold the key to help buildings leapfrog to this modern, smart, experience- driven era.
