ELSI SMART FLOOR MariCare
The Elsi Smart Floor is a fall prevention system from MariCare which is used to track the motion and position of human bodies relative to their positions on the floor in a healthcare environment and alert nurses and care staff if a resident or patient falls.
The installation of the Elsi Smart Floor is similar to that of traditional linoleum carpets and can be installed in new nursing homes, as well as during renovations in existing ones. It is easily and quickly laid, and is fully protected by the top floor carpet, giving it a long lifetime.
The system is installed in more than 3000 nursing homes and apartments, and the number is growing steadily. The system provides such facilities with the tools to eliminate or reduce most of their major daily issues. Fall prevention and changes in residents’ behaviour are major challenging tasks in nursing.
Various alarms and notifications can be activated in the unique Elsi UI (User Interface), using different criteria, and are also relayed to Smart Phones or DECT Phones.
Elsi Smart Floor can reduce injuries, improve nursing tools for providing proactive care, improve safety and security, help to cut costs, and much more.
The invisibility of Elsi Smart Floor helps remove the feel of a clinical environment, allowing residents and relatives to feel at home in a cosy setting.

FLOORBED2 Accora Ltd
FloorBed2, an ultra-low nursing bed, offers unprecedented safety and innovation to care environments.
With a mattress platform of just 7.1cm, FloorBed2 is little higher than a tennis ball, turning a potentially harmful fall into a roll and greatly reducing the risk of associated injury. It rises to a height of 80cm, facilitating an even safer working height for carrying out care related tasks, especially in the case of taller carers.
When the bed is at full height, a unique mechanism situates the mattress approximately 15cm below the top of the head and footboards. This simplifies access for tasks such as hair care and lower limb dressing and may also allow a single carer to reposition a person up and down in bed, using sliding sheets at the head or foot end.
In some circumstances, FloorBed2 can reduce the need for further interventions such as bed rails, specialist manual handling equipment and costly bed exit sensors. This, in turn, promotes greater independence to users. For example, a person with heavy, oedematous legs can use the bed at its floor level to slide their legs into bed, rather than relying on equipment such as leg-liſters. Another scenario saw a user, having rolled out of bed during the night, able to avoid disruptive hoist interference by crawling or shuffling back onto the low height of the FloorBed.
With all the profiling functions of a standard nursing bed, including Trendelenburg features, FloorBed2 offers comprehensive functional and clinical benefits to maximise user safety and peace of mind.
