DURAPIPE HTA Durapipe


Durapipe HTA is a C-PVC pipework system specially designed for domestic hot and cold water services. The product’s lightweight nature, combined with its quick and easy solvent weld jointing technique, offers significant installed cost savings, compared with copper alternatives. HTA’s limescale and corrosion resistant properties also ensure it maintains its performance over the lifetime of the system with minimal maintenance requirements.


Durapipe HTA offers a 50-year design life, excellent resistance against fire and also helps combat the growth of biofilms.

The dedicated and passionate teams in Care UK’s services provide a mix of nursing, residential and palliative care, as well as support for those living with dementia. Since 2013, Care UK has opened many state-of-the-art care homes with their own cinemas, coffee shops and hair salons, and a future growth plan will see at least another 19 homes open by 2019.

The system is widely used throughout a whole range of sectors, including healthcare. A recent example of its use in such a setting is the Streets Heath luxury care home in Woking where the specialist pipework system from Durapipe was installed.


The pipework at the luxury complex was specified and installed by mechanical engineers J&B Hopkins. Durapipe HTA was installed in sizes up to 63mm to transport water from the plant room on the ground floor along the corridor runs before dropping down to feed each individual room.


Commenting on the project, Neil Harding from J&B Hopkins, said: “We always look to reduce the amount of copper we install on projects to minimise the risks associated with theſt and so Durapipe HTA was the ideal alternative to copper for this project.


“We have used Durapipe systems for more than 12 years and have always been impressed. HTA was no different on Streets Heath, it was quick and simple to install, saving us time during the installation.”
