When I worked in a care home whilst I was a student and aſter graduating, my favourite part of the job by far was listening to the resident’s stories

about the incredibly full lives they have lived. From working with Margaret Thatcher to driving military trucks during the war, every single resident had their own story to tell and each one never failed to amaze me. To

them, it was just their life but it got me thinking that these kinds of stories will never be told again.

This thought has stayed with me ever since, and particularly came to

fruition when I started working on Tomorrow’s Care. Aſter thinking about it for a long while, I have decided to utilise our platform to share some

of these great stories in our future issues in the new ‘It’s My Life’ feature. Kicking things off with a bang, our first account comes from 97-year-old

world-famous magician Mark Raffles, who recently retired to an RMBI Care Co home in Llandudno.

Meanwhile, we have jam-packed feature sections focusing on Technology,

Recruitment, Finance & Legal, and Medication & Research. We also have an interesting feature on the connection between Huntington’s Disease and mental illness, and Julie Tyas from Servelec answers our ten questions.

I hope you enjoy the issue!
